Nevermind the house. Life itself is plenty chaotic. There are details -- where you're heading, what you're doing, what you've got to do next, what you'll be doing next week, taxes, receipts, picking up the tailoring/dry cleaning, appointments, meetings, deadlines. The list goes on (and on). If you've got kids, or even pets, it then expands. Family commitments, birthdays, holidays, vacations. It's not a wonder how any of us walk out the door without feeling as if our heads are screwed off. But simple organization of virtually everything is possible, and with just a few strategies and tips you can make life easier than it's ever been before. Got chaos? Thanks to smart phones, there's likely an app for it, calender, reminders and whatever else you might need to keep all your life details in order. Not to say that the old school ways of keeping it together have gone by the wayside. There's something to using notebooks, personal organizers and calendars. Plus they're kind of fun to own. Regardless of what you use, make it a point to log things in as soon as they're booked. It'll save you from feeling as if you've been hit by an avalanche of details later on. When it comes to organizing the other elements of managing your life, like receipts, inivtations, bills, and other items, dedicate a drawer for this, or some kind of catchall. It's fine to toss thigns in and make sense of it later if you chose to, or dedicate something a little more orderly such as file folders that can hold it all. No less, make it a point to maintain order. Once you get a system down, you'll find life will be easier, and you can tend to the other things you've got to manage (like keeping order of everything else).
