A new year, new month, new day, you name it. The possibilities that could be, the opportunities, the new beginning. Just awesome. This past week I wrapped up the month with a bunch of good friends celebrating my birthday by painting a mural at an inner city school. We had cake and everybody sang 'happy birthday,' -- it was so fun. The idea that a mural painted by friends and people I adore, in part in honor of my birthday, may exist somewhere is just awesome.

Later that weekend I cooked dinner at my house for a small dinner party, and made my second attempt at homemade macaroni and cheese. It inspired this week's article on the topic. I also had an amazing friend and fellow founder, who happens to be an incredible celebrity wardrobe stylist, at my house the following week for a project. Talk about starting new! The weekend ended with a big closet clean-out, prompting this week's article about thinking like a stylist. I was formerly one myself, and have worked with a few people in their closets, along with learning from several amazing designers, interior decorators, etc. for the article.

Speaking of home, one of the best and most versatile pieces you can buy is a great mirror. This week's article is a cool round up of a variety of styles no matter what your style is. And if that's not enough about getting the look you want, there's a fun bag and wallet article for ideas on how to pair two of the most used pieces in most wardrobes. With the start of a new month and a new season, it's hard not to be excited about what's to come.

he start of anything new is always exciting.
